I am frequently frustrated that none of my current crop of physicians are net-friendly. appointments, prescriptions, simple inquiries, could all be handled more efficiently via the net, but are not. I've often thought it's because they fear that the tap, once open, won't be closed. And you've confirmed, with the 2k word email, what I suspect. There are mail applications that can be scripted to bounce such verbose monstrosities back to the sender with an explanatory note regarding the enforced size limit for emails.
Any patient who finds such restrictions onerous is in need of an education on the demands of your profession, anyway.
