Feel free to call me Bryan, or DrV. But not Dr Val. I'm not nearly as good looking.

Perhaps all doctors could adopt what pediatricians have been doing with nervous parents for years: schedule 'interviews'. Could work but might get tough with the impending institutionalization of medicine. MDs are nothing like lawyers in that they're able to bill for, and get paid for, their services. Not sure there's a great answer. Thanks for commenting.

Great Grand Round Post. With regards my "12 questions" post, if physicians can't find time to meet, talk by phone or exchange e-mails with a prospective new patient to see if there is a "fit" we are all in big trouble. Even lawyers take the time to meet with prospective clients "at no charge" because they recognize the lifetime financial value of a new client.
