Vizify: Infographic meets Biography

February 18, 2013

Check out Vizify, an application that pulls data from your social networks and generates an always up-to-date interactive personal profile.  It’s infographic meets biography.  You can find mine here and I think you’ll probably agree that it beats a dry 500 word bio narrative.  And the career timeline trumps LinkedIn’s resume style work history.  I found the Twitter analysis of what I talk about revealing – I’m far more medicine-centric than I picture myself.

While my Vizify profile isn’t optimized for patient consumption, the platform offers an interesting and unique way for consumers to potentially get up to speed on a medical professional’s background.  I’d like to see how this could be creatively used in the health care setting.

After you make your Vizify graphical profile, leave a link below and we can all check it out.

Very cool. What’s remarkable is that I get an immediate picture of what you’re about in just a minute or so of poking. I don’t use check in apps so I don’t have the location stats but these add another element that’s interesting.

Don’t forget to wear sunscreen ; )

Very nice, Amanda. And you blog for Medscape. Strong work.

Love this, especially the ‘words’ and ‘career’ – like you, I found it better formatted and easier to immediately understand than LinkedIn.

Very interesting process to see how this is shaped by what is already on the web.
Actually rather unsettling. But at least one can edit and choose what to feature. Thanks for the opportunity to experiment!

Neat gizmo! I like it. I used to use Tywlah, but maybe Vizify is next for me since it integrates multiple SM platforms? If nothing else, Vizify encourages filling in the corners of LinkedIn.

Nice. Not sure if “Facts about you: 0″ was intentional but it’s fun. I’m still thinking about things about me that can be summarized with a figure.

And yes, it is a gizmo. While I’m always aware of ‘shiny object syndrome’ I think this has elements of potential. In fact, I’m surprised that LinkedIn doesn’t offer this type of visualization. Seems more in line with the way people communicate.

Had some fun with it on a slow President’s Day –

Nice! Having fun playing with it. Want it to be interesting, valuable, and accurate. Not sure if I’m there yet.

Very cool. Interesting to see how well it does out-of-the-box. I agree that it is potentially a great way to get to know what makes someone tick at a glance. Could be interesting for clinicians (possibly with a “what people say about you” feature?).

I like Vizify! Of the social network integration apps I’ve seen, these guys seem the most focused (they’ve chosen a clear use case) and I think that they’ve made a beautifully styled product.

As always, I’m wondering how they plan to make money and whether those plans will make their users happy!

Here is my new Vizify presence:
