With a mashup of writing that crosses the spaces of medicine, technology and culture, 33 Charts offers unique insight and analysis on the changing face of medicine.
33 charts – A sandbox for new ideas
Ultimately 33 charts is a sandbox for my thinking. Writing here helps me understand how I view the world. What’s here is not finished but the earliest iterations of bigger things for myself and the reader.
My best insights come when I focus on the tensions experienced in my work as a physician. I look for unique angles and elements that cast a lens on broader, emerging trends in medicine. In the words of Edwin Schlossberg, the skill of writing is to create a context in which other people can think. This captures precisely what I strive to do on 33 charts.
Founded as a center of community for a changing world
What you find on here reflects my core belief that this is the most interesting time to be in medicine. We are front stage to the most transformational period in medical history. Eric Topol has called this The Creative Destruction of Medicine. We are witnessing an “unprecedented super-convergence of technologies” that are redefining the concept of physician and patient.
