Medicine | Milestones | Miracles – A Blog from Texas Children’s Hospital

December 16, 2010 By Bryan Vartabedian · Reading Time: < 1 minutes

The latest entry in the pediatric blogosphere is Texas Children’s Hospital’s Medicine | Milestones | Miracles.  It came in a soft launch yesterday with a flagship post from CEO Mark Wallace.  It’s sharp.  Nice clean interface.  Nice clean name.

Look for an eclectic mix of content reflecting the unique voices of America’s largest children’s hospital.

Medicine | Milestones | Miracles is the brainchild of Texas Children’s Hospital social media mavens Michael Reina and Chris Ferris who have pushed hard over the past several months to make this happen.   Michael is an interesting guy and has been doing yeoman’s work bringing TCH socially up-to-speed.  He was recently recruited from the Houston Zoo where he served as their social media lead.  And if you need a tortoise video to go viral, he’s your man

Personally,  MMM will offer an escape platform for me to get back speaking to families.  I wrote for parents when I first started blogging 4 years ago.  I became a little fatigued with mommy speak in early 2009 and that’s how I wound up here.  But now I’m rested and I can’t wait to gently exercise my reassuring parenting voice.  In fact, I feel a post about green stool comin’ on.

But seriously, help us out:  Subscribe to the RSS, read it constantly, comment incessantly, tell your friends and if you like what you see, ‘Like’ it or share it with a tweet.  And by all means, if there’s something about Texas Children’s Hospital that you want to hear about, leave a comment or dial me up on Twitter.  I’m @doctor_v.  I’ll usher it into the right hands.

And Texas Children’s Hospital Facebook page and Twitter feed needs followers like you.  Click through and support our little bambinos.
